Middlesex is an amazing university with a compelling story to tell. We transform students’ potential into success and inspire them to achieve and do things they never thought possible.

This role is an opportunity to be part of the talented and innovative team putting Middlesex University on the map and to join our newly formed Commercial Group, with expanded marketing and communications resource. Based at our campus in Hendon, North London, the team works collectively to raise awareness of Middlesex University and support student recruitment targets, as well as drive our reputational goals.

We’re a practical, forward-thinking and inclusive university that’s looking for someone with those qualities too. We’re on a journey to evolve our brand, design and content to show what makes us stand out in a way that’s authentic to us and our students. That’s where you come in. You’ll lead the strategic development of Middlesex University’s brand and work closely with our partner creative agency. You’ll set our creative vision in line with our strategic aims – now and in the future. Your work will deliver a unique brand experience that drives engagement with our students, staff and many external audiences and increases our reputation and revenue.

You’ll inspire your team of designers and content specialists to do their best work and collaborate with them to create a compelling brand story. You’ll lead on the continuous development of our visual identity, brand messaging and tone of voice and oversee how your team implements these in our work from our design assets for campaigns to our video work to copywriting on our website. You’re a problem solver, negotiator and decision maker with the leadership skills to work with people from our Executive team, Directors in the Commercial Group, to staff at our overseas campuses to make sure the work that they plan and deliver tells our brand story across campaigns, print, digital and experiential channels.

You’ll bring a fresh perspective and creative passion with your expertise in driving brand through design and content. You’ll know what’s happening in youth marketing and even have experience of working in it.

Do you recognise yourself and your experience in this role? Are you ready to take on this new challenge?
