The role

The RTS seeks a technically minded Learning Content Production Assistant for an exciting new online education project. This role will assist the Junior Graphic Designer in creating and exporting SCORM files via Articulate Storyline, sequencing digital files and assets such as video and voice files, and building content into a Learning Management System, including quizzes, tests and eBooks.

The candidate will be part of the RTS education team and report to the Executive Producer and Head of Education.

Summary of role:

  • Use Articulate Storyline to sequence and integrate digital learning assets, including video and voice files
  • Producing SCORM files via Storyline, to upload to a Learning Management System
  • Assist Junior Graphic Designer with taking business information and turning it into visually engaging presentations when required, making use of provided design templates in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability and readiness to work closely and collaboratively with the in-house RTS digital team and freelance content creators and producers
  • Respond to any requests to edit, create and integrate digital learning content of various forms as required

Essential skills

  • Experience, aptitude or ability to learn how to upload, edit and present various content types into a Learning Management System (www.LearnWorlds.com)
  • Ability to work to a brief and to adhere to given style guidelines
  • Experience of creating graphics and digital content in a professional capacity
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including animations
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a desire to take initiative for your own work
  • A solid understanding of how digital content works, especially graphic applications, and ability to adapt quickly to new/unfamiliar software
  • The desire to move forward in a career in digital media
  • A diligent and disciplined work ethic, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and good file management practices
  • Time management; punctuality, ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

Desirable skills

  • An interest in digital educational content and technology
  • Experience or ability to learn how to create and work with SCORM files using Articulate Storyline
  • Some understanding of a basic timeline layout in editing software would be beneficial
  • A genuine interest in television, film and related media
