Conceptual Packaging Designer 

Location:  Manchester, Purley, or Essex (Onsite with hybrid options available dependent on situation)

Salary:  £30k to £48k depending on experience/location, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities 

• Generate innovative packaging design concepts from initial idea to final execution, ensuring alignment with client briefs and brand guidelines.
• Delivering finished designs ready to be presented to the client when required.
• Running high-volume projects efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Work with stock imagery to create photo-realistic serving suggestion compositions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working across a range of categories with the ability to deliver fast-paced and high-quality design concepts  within stipulated timelines.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to understand client requirements and translate them into compelling packaging designs.
• Maintain brand consistency and compliance with style guides throughout the design process.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create visually appealing and technically accurate packaging designs.
• Participate in design briefings and presentations, showcasing creative solutions that meet client expectations.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Uphold company standards of excellence in all aspects of design and project management.

Skills and Experience Required 

• 3+ years of experience in packaging design, with a focus on FMCG products.
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects from concept development to final presentation.
• Strong typographical and illustration skills, with an exceptional portfolio showcasing commercial food packaging design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
