The Studio

We’re working with an independent female-led branding agency, they are young and hungry they are the up-and-coming new kid on the block who keeps winning new and exciting clients.

They are passionate about championing the challenger brand and working with cutting-edge start-ups and established brands in the food & beverage, retail, and tech industries. However, for them, it’s less about the industry their clients work in and much more about building a trustworthy relationship with them, where there is space for unexpected solutions and ideas. They strive to create the best quality creative they possibly can for every client they work with, and every time they start a new project, they strive to improve. They don’t shy away from brave unexpected solutions and are always working on levelling up their game.

Leading with empathy, they welcome diversity in its truest sense looking to uplift and inspire their team, making sure everyone has a voice and is celebrated for their authentic selves. Having 100% trust in each other and their clients, they cultivate an environment where everyone is encouraged to speak up, ask stupid questions (they firmly believe there’s no such thing), and create space to let their inner child play.

The Opportunity

As a small but mighty team, they are keen to welcome and embrace your individuality and ambitions, letting you grow with them. Being in a close-knit environment means you’d be working directly with decision-makers and business founders, but it’s far away from being a micromanaging environment. They want to hire ambitious thinkers with an entrepreneurial mindset and outstanding design sensibility who are excited by the prospect of elevating the studio’s creative output.

Having won plenty of new business, they’re now looking for an experienced brand designer who wants to be part of and help drive the growth they are experiencing. Your current title could be Midweight Designer, and you’re looking to make that next step into a Senior, or you could be an established Senior Designer, or you could even be looking to step into a Design Director role. What truly matters is your ability to think strategically, offer outstanding design solutions that respond to the brief, as well as understand the intricacies of presenting to clients and being a mentor to more junior members of the team. Ideally, you’d have a good amount of experience working with food & drink clients and have had decent experience working on packaging projects in the past; however, branding is where you truly shine.

There’s a healthy mix of studio and WFH time (spending 3 days in the studio, 2 working remotely), so there’s plenty of opportunity to collaborate in person as well as whip up some ideas being comfy at home in your pyjamas (if that’s your jam).

The Ideal Candidate

• You are brave and curious, creating original design work with the ability to both originate ideas and see them through to implementation.
• You most likely have 4+ years of experience working on the agency side.
• You have experience in Brand and Packaging. Some knowledge of digital design and motion space is a plus.
• You are confident in presenting your ideas internally and to clients.
• You are an intelligent learner who is open to constructive feedback, always looking for opportunities to refine and develop your craft.
• You’re able to understand and interpret the brief and consider brand strategy at the heart of your designs.
• You demonstrate conceptual and art direction ability and have a great sensibility for illustration, typography and copywriting.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment balancing and managing your time.
• You have experience leading projects and mentoring more junior team members.
• You have excellent Adobe CC skills.

If this sounds exciting and you’d like to find out more please email alissa@edenmarsh.co.uk

(And please remember that if you don’t tick off every single box, it is always worth getting in touch anyway).

Please note this is a London-based role and not suitable for remote candidates, unfortunately.

United Creatives is a small, passionate, multi award-winning graphic design team based in Manchester. We currently seek an ambitious and talented graphic designer. Ideally we would like to quickly grow a part time role into a full time role with the right candidate following a short trial period. Salary to be based on experience.

If you are on a journey from Middleweight to Senior Graphic Designer and have experience (sorry, no juniors or graduates please) in taking design and branding projects from concept to completion we’d like to hear from you and learn about what you have to say.

We work on a diverse range of projects ranging from drinks industry, luxury hotel, Michelin star chefs and restaurants to regeneration, signage, book, menu, logo, street art, illustration and arts strategy design.

You must be highly creative and original, have an attention to detail and be willing to work as part of a tight team to light touch art direction from our Creative Director. An added bonus if you like Bengal cats (our studio mascots).

Hello, we’re Impero.

We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.
We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, First Choice, Paco Rabanne, Great Ormond Street, and a bunch of others.

We’re pretty good at what we do. We’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. We were awarded a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards 2022.
This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion.

There are about 40 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious, and do great work.

We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have 100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.
We gladly do things differently. We‘re super ambitious, brutally honest, and always deliver.

Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for a Junior Designer who wants to be part of and help drive that growth.

THE ROLE:

Junior Visual & Motion designers should have sound technical skills, a clear understanding of design trends, and an ability to apply different styles across brands. You should have a good understanding of visual design and typography and be able to contribute to concept sessions as well as sell your ideas clearly.

Most importantly, you must have the same drive as the rest of our team to push Impero to continue making award-winning work. You must be talented, ambitious & driven.

Junior motion designers will work under senior team members. They will also need to work closely with our creatives and project managers. Their role is to execute all requests made of them with enthusiasm, speed, and reliability, demonstrating great attention to detail, total trustworthiness, and initiative. This is a process of learning by doing, but also observing and assimilating the very best practice of their seniors.
Most importantly, you must have the same drive as the rest of our team to push Impero to continue to make award-winning work.

You must be talented, ambitious, and driven.

THE TYPE OF PEOPLE WE WANT TO MEET:

If you live and breathe design, we want to meet you. But above all, you must embody our core values and fit within our culture. We want to meet you if you…

– Have 1-2 years of agency experience
– Have good knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft, and Keynote.
– Have experience using Cinema 4D and any render engine would be a nice bonus.
– Have a good sense of music editing.
– Are able to easily understand a brief and take the initiative to ask questions when needed.
– Have great design skills and a thousand unique styles and ideas tucked away.
– Have a strong understanding of design trends and how to harness them.
– Have good communication skills
– Are able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table.
– Are proactive and committed to developing your own knowledge and skills.
– Are enthusiastic and unafraid to roll up your sleeves and muck in.
– Are organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines.
– Are driven, motivated, and have meticulous attention to detail.
– Have a can-do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit.
– Are interested in being involved in the growth of the business as a whole.

THE PERKS OF WORKING AT THE MIGHTY IMPERO INCLUDE:

– Being part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to.
– Opportunity to Opt into our Health Insurance.
– Life assurance and Income Protection.
– Enhanced Maternity/Paternity policy.
– Hybrid working.
– The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – not just be a cog in the machine.
– Seasonal company parties.
– Annual personal development plan and training facilities for your own growth.
– A ‘yes work’s important, but let’s not get too serious’ vibe.
– A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
– Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment.

• You likely have 4+ years’ experience in brand or advertising agencies.
• You’re a critical thinker with outstanding research skills, ideas, and ability to see fresh perspectives.
• Standout communication, storytelling, writing, and analytical skills

The Creative Agency for People Willing to Question Everything

Building brands for a digital world, we believe that challenging, debating and questioning just about everything is the best way to find the ideas that can change how people think, feel and behave.

We are blessed to work with people who care deeply about the work they do, embrace every challenge and are determined to show us a new way of looking at things.

So if that sounds like your kind of agency, you sound like our kind of person.

THE ROLE

We’re on the search for our next Senior Digital Designer.

Detail-obsessed, doggedly curious and refreshingly open-minded, you will have a passion for turning great brands into world-class digital experiences.

Brands built for a digital world.

With an intuitive understanding and keen interest in UX best practices, you will transform brand identities into effective, scalable UI design systems that cut through, force action and create change.

A user-centric designer

From content to wireframes to finished product, your care for the end-user is second nature, with every decision made informed by the audience it is intended for.

Guiding, inspiring and leading.

As a Senior Designer, you will present your work with ease and be comfortable hosting and leading content workshops. You have a natural ability to guide, inspire and lead both team and clients every step of the way.

A true team player.

You will collaborate closely with designers, strategists, copywriters, account managers, project managers and our development team — ensuring feasibility in the early part of a project and tight quality control through to fruition.

  • A willingness to teach those you work alongside
  • A naturally curious mindset and unafraid to ask questions
  • A collaborative mindset, recognising the role that everybody plays

A NEW VOICE

We are looking for characters with a fresh perspective and a different opinion. Somebody who challenges rather than conforms. A culture-add over a culture-fit.

That means we are actively seeking qualified individuals and groups who are under-represented, whether in relation to gender, religion, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.

LIFE AT FORTY EIGHT POINT ONE

  • We know that your working life has a direct impact on your everyday life.
