Graphic Designer
London · Hybrid · Permanent
Description
Role requires a Graphic Designer with a genuine passion for branding, editorial, book design, and the kind of cultural work that sits at the intersection of fashion, photography, and publishing — someone who understands this world from the inside, not just the outside looking in.
Our client is a design studio whose work spans some of the most culturally significant projects in contemporary graphic design. Books for iconic fashion archives. Magazine redesigns for titles that define British visual culture. Branding for brands that matter. Collaboration with photographers, artists, and musicians at the very top of their fields. The work is considered, typographically rigorous, and always rooted in a genuine understanding of culture.
They are looking for someone to step into a mid to senior designer role and bring the same level of care, curiosity, and craft to every brief. Someone who is as excited by a beautifully typeset book as they are by a brand identity, who has strong opinions about layout, and who genuinely lives in the world the studio works in.
Responsibilities:
- Design across editorial, book, branding, and identity projects to an exceptional standard
- Develop custom typography, logotypes, and visual languages for brand and campaign work
- Work across print and digital formats with equal confidence and attention to detail
- Contribute ideas, references, and creative thinking across all projects
- Take ownership of projects from concept through to print-ready delivery
- Collaborate closely with the wider team and external photographers, artists, and publishers
Experience:
- Proven mid to senior graphic design experience within editorial, publishing, branding, or a culturally driven studio
- A portfolio demonstrating strong typographic craft, layout, and genuine aesthetic intelligence
- Experience designing books, magazines, or editorial publications
- Deep cultural awareness across fashion, photography, art, and contemporary visual culture
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Someone who brings genuine passion to the work, not just competence
