Who are we?
Art Fund is the national fundraising charity for art. With over 148,000 members, we are leading the way in pioneering support for an inclusive and welcoming museum and gallery sector across the UK.
We work closely with a network of over 1000 museums and respond to their needs and aspirations. We’re excited to see how they want to develop: to expand and diversify their collections and workforce, develop curatorial skills, make ambitious acquisitions, and create a welcoming, inclusive space for communities. With the support of over 148,000 members who buy a National Art Pass, patrons, and donors we can provide grants, encourage visiting and advocate for museums’ essential role and value.
We have diversity, inclusion, and sustainability central to our thinking and the opportunity to be a force for good, galvanise support and help change things for the better inspires our team.
The role
We’re looking for a Designer who cares about the craft as much as the idea — someone who finds real satisfaction in getting things right, whether that’s a multi‑page publication, a set of digital assets, or a single piece of artwork that needs to be perfect down to the smallest detail.
This role sits at the heart of our Creative Team. Most days you’ll be deep in design lead – precision creative artworking: building high‑volume digital and social assets, shaping long‑form documents, preparing print‑ready files, and making sure everything is brand‑consistent, technically robust and ready to go. Alongside that, you’ll take on genuine design work — developing concepts for campaigns, events and digital formats, and bringing ideas to life across multiple channels.
You’ll work closely with the rest of the team to translate Art Fund’s visual identity / brand story across print, digital, social, environmental and campaign formats. Some days that means designing stage comps or signage for Museum of the Year, other days it’s delivering a full suite of digital and social assets, each one crafted with the same attention to detail, or building decks and mock-ups that help people see the idea clearly.
If you enjoy a balance of design and production (the thinking as much as the making) and you take pride in work that’s accurate, thoughtful and beautifully executed, then this is a lovely role for you.
