A leading Brand & Communications agency is looking for a Design Director to join its New York studio, taking ownership of brand identity, visual systems and campaign concepts and design.

It’s getting busy, in the best way. They are winning pitches against the more ‘famous’ agencies. The deep sector knowledge they have in their armoury is getting attention as they catch senior clients during key big decision moments.
This isn’t a backseat design role. You’ll be right at the centre of how ideas are shaped, working across brand identity, campaign and communications for major brands across a mix of sectors.
You’ll be straight into shaping thinking, leading ideas, creating and refining brand systems and making sure everyone in your team is focused on the right stuff.
You’ll be working closely with other senior creatives, strategy and insights and presenting to senior clients.
You’ll have:
- The chance to contribute to early-stage thinking, shaping visual approaches from concept onwards and leading other designers
- 8+ years’ experience in branding, design or communications within agency environments
- A portfolio demonstrating strong brand and identity systems and campaign work with a strong sense of craft
- Excellent typographic and layout skills
- Used to working across multi-channel brand applications
- Strong communication skills: you can articulate design thinking clearly to senior clients and non-designers
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows
- A sharp eye for detail and a consistent commitment to design quality
