Send your CV and portfolio (website link or PDF under 15MB) to tom@rosieleecreative.comwith JNR2026 as the email subject.

Tell us one thing you’ve made recently — brief or no brief — that you’re proud of, and why. A paragraph is plenty.

Closing date: 01 May 2026.

Rosie Lee is an equal-opportunities employer. We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

You are

  • A recent graduate (0–1 years’ experience) with a portfolio that grabs attention.
  • Sharp on craft – typography, composition and ideas that travel across formats
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma and motion tools a plus
  • Native to social media platforms and how campaigns land there
  • Curious across branding, spatial and culture – not just the thing in front of you
  • Someone who brings ideas unprompted

The role

This is a role designed to grow. For your first year with us, you’ll be aligned to a specific client project – focused primarily on art direction and social campaign design. You’ll learn by doing, working alongside other designers on a brand we care deeply about, and developing your eye, your craft and your confidence in the process.

Between project bursts, you’ll have the opportunity to observe, and get hands-on with, other areas of our creative offering, including Branding and Retail/Spatial Design. We want your first year to broaden your horizons as well as deepen your craft.

We also want you to bring something we can’t brief in: a point of view. There’s space (and encouragement) for you to lead self-initiated or passion projects that sit outside our ‘standard’ style of work. Things that surprise us. Things we wouldn’t have made on our own. That energy is part of why we’re hiring.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the design and art direction of a headline client year-long project, primarily across social and campaign outputs
  • Producing concept work, mood boards, references and finished design for social-first campaigns
  • Contributing ideas from kick-off to delivery, collaborating with copywriters, motion designers, producers and external partners
  • Observing and contributing to Branding and Retail/Spatial projects when the named project isn’t in full flow
  • Developing self-initiated and passion projects that expand the studio’s creative range
  • Presenting your thinking clearly – internally at first, and in time to clients
  • Keeping a sharp eye on culture, social platforms and the work happening outside our walls, and bringing it back into the studio

Who we’re looking for

  • A recent graduate (0–1 years) in graphic design, visual communication, art direction or a related discipline
  • A portfolio that shows strong visual craft, an eye for composition and typography, and early signs of a distinct creative voice
  • Confidence across the core toolkit – Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Figma a plus; motion tools (After Effects, Premiere) welcome but not required
  • A natural feel for social platforms and campaign storytelling – you understand how ideas move across formats and feeds
  • Curiosity across disciplines – as interested in a shop window or spatial detail as you are in a campaign film
  • Self-starter energy – you bring ideas, references and passion projects unprompted
  • Open, collaborative and up for feedback; humble about what you don’t know yet
  • Culturally plugged in – you notice things the rest of us don’t

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience (student, placement or personal) in art direction, photography, styling or set design
  • Illustration, moving image, 3D/spatial or sound as secondary skills
  • A self-initiated project, zine, feed or side hustle you can talk us through
  • AI workflows and end results that support creative ambition when budgets might not allow for a full shoot team.

What we offer

  • A studio role with real responsibility on a high-profile client project
  • Mentorship from senior creatives across Brand, Social and Spatial
  • Exposure to the full breadth of what Rosie Lee does – inside one role
  • Encouragement, time and support for personal and passion projects
  • A studio culture that takes creative ambition seriously

How we’ll measure success in year one

  • You’ve made a visible contribution to the named client project – work we’re all proud of
  • You’ve built real craft in art direction and social campaign design
  • You’ve stepped into at least one Branding and one Retail/Spatial project beyond the core brief
  • You’ve led or meaningfully progressed at least one self-initiated / passion project
  • You’ve become a trusted voice in the team – bringing energy, references and ideas in without being asked
  • Your work has been strong enough to encourage the client to continue and expand working with us.
