And—Now is a London-based design studio founded in 2020. We’ve grown steadily to a team of twelve, working with clients who value depth and clarity — from policy groups and think tanks to cultural institutions, publishers and research organisations.

Our work is intentionally research-driven: design that makes complex ideas accessible without chasing trends. We’re known for the care we bring to client relationships, the rigour of our process, and the longevity of the work we create.

We keep things deliberately small. That means close collaboration, a strong sense of shared responsibility, and working hours that respect life outside the studio. With a waitlist of clients and an unusually high rate of returning collaborators, we’re at a point where we could use an extra pair of creative hands.

We’re on the lookout for a talented Junior Designer to join our team and bring fresh ideas, energy, and creativity into the mix.

Interested?

We are in need of a curious, imaginative designer who is eager to learn and keen to contribute their ideas. This role is your opportunity to carve out a place in a small team where your work will truly matter. We understand that you may be just starting your career in design, so while you don’t have to be completely polished, you must be ready to learn, collaborate, and develop your craft. We value potential over perfection — if you’re enthusiastic about growing your skills and bringing your unique perspective to the table, you’re exactly who we’re looking for. Ideally you’ll have a small amount of studio experience (be that through an internship or work experience), and a solid portfolio of college projects. Whatever work you decide to show us, you’ll need to demonstrate how you take an idea from spark to execution — showcasing a well-crafted, inspiring portfolio that speaks to your creativity and versatility.

As an agency we are proud to be small but perfectly formed, with excellent industry connections and the ability to generate and fulfil imaginative, research-driven ideas. Our mission (soon to be yours) is to fully immerse ourselves in our clients’ worlds, crafting creative solutions that go beyond expectations.

We thrive on variety and are proudly multi-disciplinary, so we’re looking for a designer who’s ready to dive into all manner of projects working with and learning from more senior members of our team. If that sounds like you, let’s talk!

You’ll need:

  • Excellent conceptual and design skills (no surprises there).
  • A passion for research-fuelled design solutions and design process (show us your sketchbooks!).
  • A varied portfolio of projects, all with rationale and the evidence of the process behind them.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating from concept to final delivery of a project.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC.
  • Ability to work to a set deadline whilst being supported by the senior team.
  • Readiness to learn.
  • A can-do attitude.

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of Figma.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS (other code languages a bonus!).
  • Understanding of WordPress.
  • Experience with Notion.
  • Skills or interest in motion or 3D.

How do we work?

Our studio operates on a foundation of equality, where everyone contributes, and no role is above or below any project — every input, from intern to director, is valued. Accountability is key; we take full responsibility for our work, including any mistakes(!). We prioritise clear boundaries between work, home, and client interactions, ensuring complete presence when in the studio. Participation and open discussion are at the heart of our culture, making sure every voice is heard. Ideas are never sacred; they are deconstructed and rebuilt into something even better. We aim to celebrate success, support one another, and foster empathy in our relationships with colleagues and clients. Committed to continuous learning, we embrace innovation and take risks, but always with respect for the final product.

  • This is a full time position with a hybrid working set up: Monday and Friday WFH, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in person in our office in N4.
  • 9-5pm working hours.
  • 20 days of holiday each year and your birthday (if it falls on a working day!), plus the studio is closed between Christmas and New Year every year.
  • 10 “Work from Anywhere” days each year.
  • £200 yearly “inspiration budget” per employee, provided annually to encourage continuous innovation and creativity.
  • Dog friendly office (well-behaved pals only, please).
  • Internal mentoring programme for every employee.
  • Registered for Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Regular whole studio culture trips.

How to apply

If this sounds like the right fit for you, drop us an email to work@and-now.co.uk with the subject line “Junior Designer”.

We’d like a short intro about yourself, why you think you’d be a good fit for the team, your CV and a PDF of two or three (maximum!) of your favourite projects. You’ll need to have your full portfolio for the interview.

We look forward to meeting you!
