Job description: Located in South-West London, 525 is a dynamic and reactive design studio. Our work is primarily within the book publishing sector, partnering with industry leaders such as Penguin, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette, Bloomsbury, Macmillan, Scholastic, Hodder, and many many more. We are expanding our team and seeking a talented Junior Motion Designer to join us on our exciting journey.

About the Role: As a Junior Motion Designer at 525, you will be an integral part of our collaborative, multi-disciplinary creative team. This role is all about transforming the static into the dynamic, bringing books and stories to life through motion. You’ll work across a playful and varied range of motion projects, including character animation, kinetic/ playful typography, cover builds, Short-form social animations and video trailers, delivering work across multiple formats such as TV/VOD, cinema, OOH advertising, and social media. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills, learn from experienced creatives, and contribute to high-quality, visually engaging campaigns.

Key Requirements/Responsibilities:

– A strong showreel/portfolio showcasing a variety of animation styles and techniques.

– ‎Curious about what makes motion design special and meaningful, and driven to translate that into every piece of work.

– Knowledge of fundamental animation principles with a sense of timing, choreography and an eye for finer nuances.

– Ability to adapt to different animation styles and project requirements.

– Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop and good working knowledge of Premier Pro.

– Willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.

– Enthusiastic interest in design and publishing.

– Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

– Willingness to travel to SW London.

– Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

– Exceptional tea-making skills.

Nice things to have, but not essential:

– Experience in working in Cinema 4D, Red Giant.

– Knowledge of Sound Design (Mixing, SFXs, Soundtracks).

– Experience in other Adobe CC applications (InDesign, Illustrator).
