The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Forgent AI on the ground floor as our Product Design Lead. You will be the first designer on our founding team, meaning you will have a unique opportunity to shape not only the product but also how design is embedded in our culture and decision-making process.

As our Product Design Lead, you will own our product design and user experience. Your goal is to craft intuitive flows and elegant interfaces that make complex workflows simple. You’ll operate at the intersection of our customers, technology, and business, partnering directly with the founders and our engineering team to build the product.

What You’ll Do

As a core member of our team, you will:

• Be responsible for all aspects of design with a primary focus on our product and user experience (UX).
• Help bring a wonderful AI-first product to market that is intuitive, beautiful, and user-friendly while solving complex workflows.
• Understand what our customers want via interviews, user research, and data analytics.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to bring ideas to life, balancing aesthetics with functionality.
• Build scalable design systems and frameworks that grow with the company.
• Ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints, from product UI to website and marketing assets, to create a unified experience.
• Evolve our brand identity over time, starting with immediate visual alignment and leading a strategic refresh in the near future.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience in product and UX design within a fast-moving tech company or startup.
• You have a proven ability to craft UIs, flows, and prototypes that feel seamless and engaging, distilling complexity into simple solutions (e.g., breaking down 100 screens into a single 3-step flow).
• You are autonomous and have proven that you can own a complex product from concept to launch. You are comfortable working independently but know how to collaborate closely with engineers and PMs to get things shipped.
• Strong skills in Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or your preferred design tool.
• Based in Berlin (or are eager to relocate).

Our Process

• Review: We will review all applications within 5 days.
• Intro Call: 30-minute video call to get to know you and talk about your portfolio work.
• On-Site: A 2-3 hour session with a presentation, followed by 1:1 interviews with Engineering and GTM.
• Offer: We move fast. Expect a quick final decision and transparent feedback immediately following the on-site.
