The Studio

A highly regarded international studio with a reputation for producing strategic and beautifully crafted brand identities for an impressive client list.  The team is made up of some of the finest talent in design, all driven by creative artistry and strategic thinking to produce highly successful client work that is both imaginative and meaningful.  They are now looking for an established Design Director with experience in both design and art direction, alongside a strong point of view on imagery and visual identity.  The team are mostly together in the studio with some flexibility for working from home when needed.

The Opportunity

Operating at a senior level within the Studio, this person will set and shape a clear design and art-direction vision for each client project they touch.    You’ll be a team leader and a hands-on creative, leading concept development, mentoring other designers and ensuring the highest standards of execution.   You’ll also play a key role in building client relationships, helping them to achieve their creative ambitions and inspiring them to explore different creative routes.  We are looking for well-crafted portfolios full of beautiful work and considered concepts for brand identity, editorial, place-making, print and digital disciplines. Aesthetic is hugely important for this Studio, and they will need to be able to see a strong alignment to their clients and the agency vision.  You’ll contribute to the overall studio development and culture, helping to refine how work is presented, identifying new talent for the team, sharing broader creative and cultural perspectives and inspirations.

Our ideal candidate

Has a branding background with a wealth of experience creating well thought-out, concept driven work and a portfolio with a refined aesthetic.

A good amount of editorial work with strong storytelling is preferred.

Has significant experience running client meetings and workshops, is credible and influential in creative discussions and presentations.

Still enjoys the day-to-day delivery of creative projects and is comfortable being hands on when needed as well as directing and overseeing projects.

Is an enthusiastic team player with a collaborative attitude, always ready to challenge perceptions to create something better.

Will bring exceptional positive energy and solutions to every project whilst nurturing, encouraging, and developing the ideas of others.
