Job summary 

We are a relatively small creative department with a big workload and we’re looking for a creative star to help out. We need great concepts, compelling copy and powerful art direction for a whole host of world famous FMCG brands. One minute you could be crafting a trade press ad, the next scripting a film for social. Flexing your creative muscles on a standout piece of POS or an in-depot media campaign. Or, creating a launch event for some exciting NPD. There’s no time for slow turnarounds. Even less for flabby thinking.

You’ll be part of a talented, award-winning team and will be working closely with the Creative Director and Head of Design. A knowledge of FMCG would be huge plus but not essential. Talent is more important. And the ability to make a real difference to the department’s integrated output.

This role is perfect for someone who likes working within an intimate team, is highly creative and can flex to deliver work across on a variety of briefs and requests (big and small).

Key responsibilities

  • Set and lead the creative vision across all agency output — from concept to execution
  • Direct creative work across campaigns, social, content, packaging, shopper and experiential
  • Inspire, mentor and grow a dynamic creative team — fostering collaboration and craft excellence
  • Translate client briefs into breakthrough creative ideas that balance strategy with originality
  • Deliver outstanding copy and messaging across all channels — from campaign headlines to brand tone
  • Pitch ideas and creative strategies to clients with passion, clarity and commercial understanding
  • Collaborate closely with our client services and design team to deliver cohesive campaigns
  • Help build and evolve the agency’s creative reputation — driving innovation and new business

Ideal candidate

  • 7+ years’ experience in art direction and copy writing
  • Friendly, collaborative, and genuinely nice to work with — a people-first approach is essential
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding creative across multiple channels
  • Strong conceptual thinker with excellent art direction and storytelling skills
  • Skilled at leading teams and building a positive, ambitious creative culture
  • Experienced in client-facing roles and confident presenting and pitching
  • Passion for consumer behaviour, brand experience and culturally resonant ideas
  • A hands-on leader, equally comfortable at a whiteboard, on a shoot, or in the pitch room
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite – motion, digital and experiential knowledge a plus
