Smokeless Kitchen Foundation is a non-profit based in Kenya, UK and California, USA. We fight 3 billion premature deaths caused by cooking on the open flame. Those are mostly women. We provide local Kenyan women with smokeless gas stoves and teach them how to make food products from their farms. We sell these products online and in stores in Nairobi. We are a non-profit with a strong design culture and an international team.

You will be responsible for:

• Creating foundation illustrations, videos and animations
• Overseeing all foundation visual outputs
• Consistent visual identity across multiple platforms
• Design for online and offline media
• Bringing new inputs how to improve company communication

You will love:

You can run into tasks like:

• Illustrating cartoon characters for new products
• Redesigning product labels
• Refining the company’s logotype or branding
• Creating multiple instructional brochures in Swahili language
• Communicating with printers in Kenya
• Designing for technology limits in Kenya
• Creating seasonal or targeted promotional campaigns
• Creating brand guide
• Preparing assets for PR and web developer
• Designing icon sets for website
• Redesigning company website or e-shop

You are good at:

• Talented illustrator and motion designer
• Preparing graphics for print & online
• Designing for mobile devices
• Up to date with current design standards
• Excellent with Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
• Able to bring creating multiple concepts
• Fast and precise

Bonus Points:

• Editing, motion design experience – After Effects, Premiere Pro
• Experience with 3D or technical software – Rhino, CAD, Cinema 4D, SolidWorks
• UX Knowledge
• Pixel Perfect
• Other relevant design expertise

Location:

• This is a fully remote contractual job
• In-person meetings in London may be required, depending on current Covid-19 situation
