The Opportunity

This role is built on a desire to translate insight into powerful brand storytelling, turning knowledge of the fast-changing global consumer landscape into stunning, precedent-setting design. This role crafts narratives interwoven across complex multi-sensory, physical, digital, and human aspects. As a senior creative within the team this involved in a multitude of diverse projects, leading the creative, bringing fresh thinking and energy to every brief and studio interaction. It requires growing commercial understanding; striving to articulate the value of any idea to the individual, the client and stakeholder teams, as well as help run a project within time and budget constraints. Good self-initiated time management is key, in balancing attention across projects and reports, as well as being more ‘on the tools’ in some projects.

A key aspect of the senior role is developing beyond the creative output; speaking up and getting involved in scoping, contributing to assigning skillsets, briefing team members and freelancers, creatively leading internally and externally, and initiating dialogue in the running and reporting of the projects.

The role encompasses the full creative process, all aspects of which need to be approached with equal vigour, even where skills are developing, and playing a part in managing relevant suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

● Exceptional creative delivered across multiple concurrent projects: working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll deliver projects from initial brief distillation to delivery, and every step in between. Your role encompasses the full creative process, all aspects of which need to be approached with equal vigour, even where skills are developing, and playing a part in managing relevant suppliers and partners.

● Developing branding and graphic design skills across the agency: work to develop and upskill other team members within your specialism beyond your assigned projects.

● Trusted senior advisor to team and clients: a confident communicator, you’ll work collaboratively across multiple live projects, liaise with fellow designers, clients & stakeholders.

You’ll support the Design Director in briefing junior, mid and freelance staff and provide creative direction and feedback to them.

● Confidently presenting and expressing creative ideas: from sketches to strategies, you’ll take the lead in engaging and inspiring others through different formats, from workshops, internal creative sessions, meetings and pitches. You’ll articulate your and the team’s thinking, internally and externally, beginning to take a lead role in key accounts.

● Demonstrating strategic thinking: translating insights into multi-sensory experiences. You’ll be motivated to develop your technical skills and understanding that informs design possibilities, particularly related to tech & innovation.

● Supporting People and Planet as part of their commitment to B-Corp: striving to ensure the work they do with clients considers environmental and social impact all the way through projects. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the experience necessary to deliver the points above within the key responsibilities. You will have at least 5 years + experience working within a design studio across brand and experiential projects.
