Role overview: 

The in-house Creative Artworker for The Future Laboratory is responsible for laying out reports and marketing assets as well as art-working client-facing presentations. Additional responsibilities include communicating across all departments to ensure designs are in line with the company’s brand identity, visually communicating strategic research, delivering work to deadlines both internally and for clients, protecting the brand identity across all output to the highest possible standard, and ensuring correct tone of voice is consistently maintained.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities: 

: Manage multiple design projects of varying complexities, which requires an ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure as an integral part of an agile studio team 

: To be a guardian of brand guidelines and in-house templates for reports, proposals, presentations, client deliverables, web, video production and marketing assets, ensuring their correct implementation across the whole business  

: Explore and research new formats, developing the brand identity where necessary 

: Interpret creative briefs and consistently deliver high-quality, innovative work 

: Work alongside our creative team, helping develop their ideas and concepts through collaborative initiatives   

: Identify areas of improvement in quality of output and effectiveness of working processes, finding creative solutions as necessary 

: Translate complex data into branded infographics and data visualisations as we grow our data capability 

: Design digital marketing assets, EDMs, GIFs, motion graphics for social media campaigns and marketing  

: Work independently and collaboratively with wider editorial, marketing and strategy departments to produce outstanding creative solutions 

 

 

Essential skills and experience: 

:BA Hons in Visual Communication/Graphic Design, relevant degree and/or equivalent working experience  

: Ability to create and layout artwork for digital and print  

: Must be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite with high proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator 

: Working knowledge of Keynote and PowerPoint 

: Experience working with both large and small brands  

: Solid understanding of client deliverables and the ability to take responsibility for them 

: Willing to communicate and initiate their own creative ideas as well as discussing ideas and concepts with the wider creative team  

: Creative eye, enjoying style and popular culture  

: Proactive problem-solving abilities 

: Culturally aware of wider graphic design, marketing and cultural trends as a whole 

: Ability to work independently and collaboratively  

: An excellent understanding of layout and typography, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work closely within brand guidelines 

: Working knowledge or interest in upskilling: Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Blender, Cinema 4D

The remaining three days are flexible and can be worked remotely (core days are at the discretion of your line manager).
