We’re hiring – Motion Designer – Designhouse

We are looking for a motion designer to join our busy studio. Your role is to support the studios video & animation capability by designing and producing motion graphics work that meets and exceeds expectations and strategic objectives.
We are a fun, close-knit team based in Aldwych, Central London, with great clients ranging from multinationals to smaller, family-owned businesses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong video & animation background and skills, able to work from established storyboards but also develop new ones and have an exceptional understanding of storytelling techniques.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a 2D motion graphics professional within an agency, creative studio or broadcast/commercial
• Advanced knowledge of After Effects, Premier Pro, Illustrator
• A proactive, confident designer with strong organisation and time management skills
• A thorough understanding of motion design workflows
• A keen eye for detail and creative flair for motion design
• An ability to work creatively within brand guidelines
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
• A passionate interest the motion design industry trends and software plugins

Further responsibilities include:

• Design and produce 2D video & animation graphics in response to client briefs
• Develop concepts/creative treatments, produce storyboards and style-frames
• Be comfortable using existing artworked assets/graphics and integrating them into storyboards and final videos/animations.
• Act as a brand guardian (from a motion perspective) on behalf of our clients
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ensure that projects are delivered on brief, on time and on budget
• Liaise and communicate clearly with stakeholders, both internally and client side
• Work with (and part of) the wider team including in-house staff and external freelancers and contractors

Working hours are 9.30am-6pm, Monday to Friday from our studio
