Thirst is a strategic drinks design agency that builds creatively rare, commercially right brands. Born from a love of drink and design, we create, shape, and refine brands from brave ideas to flawless finishes.

We are on the lookout for an experienced mid-weight designer to join our team, contribute to the creative direction of the agency and take their skills to the next level. We are looking for someone who has experience working with packaging (food and drink experience is a bonus) and has the ability to develop concepts to an award-winning finish. You should be able to demonstrate great conceptual thought and craft, with proven ability to apply creative solutions to commercial briefs. You will be an energetic communicator who is always looking to bring forward ideas, constructive improvements and inspiration to the wider team. Additional skills and passions such as animation, campaign work, environments, experiences, illustration and photography are a bonus.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, as our studio is a very supportive one, have big creative ambitions and be looking to create the best work of their lives.

A successful applicant will have:

  • A well presented and creative portfolio showing a broad range of work and ideas that go beyond packaging into rich and engaging brand worlds
  • 2+ years experience working in an agency environment
  • Proven experience answering commercial briefs with creative solutions
  • The ability to execute design pieces with beautiful craft and attention to detail across a broad range of design styles
  • The ability to sell in their work in an engaging way, tying it all back to sound strategic thinking
  • An ambition to further their creative work and learn from others
  • Confidence and an unwavering positive attitude with a desire to be the best in their field

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop inspiring design ideas that connect back to the brief
  • Work across: brand identity, packaging, campaigns and brand worlds
  • Work both independently and closely with others to develop outstanding creative solutions to briefs
  • Support the Design Directors and Creative Director in building engaging and compelling presentations for clients
  • Support the strategy and client services team in research and winning pitches
  • Take projects from concept to execution, rolling out into rich and engaging brand worlds
  • Contributing to the development of others’ creative work through insight and sound understanding of the brief
  • Bringing forward inspiration from the world of design and beyond
