THE ROLE: MID WEIGHT DIGITAL DESIGNER

We are on the hunt for a hungry digital designer with an infectious energy and passion for what they do. The ideal candidate will be imaginative, innovative and eager to make an impact. They’ll have a can-do mind set, and collaborative attitude along with 4-5 years agency experience.

There is a real opportunity to shape and elevate what Brave are doing digitally. The candidate will work closely with our small but mighty digital team and be nurtured by our wonderfully talented creative and design department.

As well as a keen eye for great creative, they’ll also possess the confidence and conviction to talk through their designs and ideas to people across the agency, clearly communicating how their vision meets the challenges of the brief, using technical and creative justification.

They’ll need to have a good understanding of all parts of the digital landscape; from social content, interactive design, web design, and all digital advertising formats. They’ll have an interest in emerging technologies and slick digital design and want to push what’s possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create designs from scratch, work from guidelines and roll out work across a suite of digital formats.
  • Comfortable taking design projects from brief through to completion, as well as supporting others on finalising and finessing other colleagues’ work.
  • Comfortable working alongside digital PM’s, UX designers, copywriters, and back/frontend developers to craft campaign micro-sites, larger web builds, rich and standard banner campaigns, and paid social media toolkits for a range of social channels.
  • Handle day-to-day design tasks across multiple accounts and projects.
  • Be expected to present work clearly, confidently, and compellingly internally and back up design with technical expertise.
  • Be an efficient and well-organised designer.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong creative ability with Adobe CC; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Comfortable working in Sketch. Although, knowledge of Figma or XD would also be a bonus.
  • Experience in prototyping would also be a bonus.
  • An impeccable eye for design, composition and typography, and obsession for – and dedication to deliver – visual excellence, regardless of job or client
  • Commitment to craft and attention to technical detail
  • Experience dealing with wireframes, working alongside UX designers. And working with developers to bring their designs to life.
  • Have some experience working with animators and creating and supplying assets for motion.
  • Be on top off the latest trends, emerging tech, industry work, digital innovation -constantly be sharing what good looks like.
  • Have an active interest in artistic, social and cultural trends

MANDATORIES

  • A broad creative portfolio that demonstrates a hybrid skillset of their own design and animation work across multiple digital channels.
  • 5 years experience, working within a creative agency or in-house department.
