An opportunity exists to work with a dedicated team supporting students and staff within the field of Fashion Branding and Communication as well as the wider Subject Area of Fashion.

The post holder will be required to deliver a comprehensive series of core and advanced computer aided design techniques, which would include Adobe Creative Cloud packages (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects). Classes may include induction programs, demonstrations, workshops, through to working 1 on 1 with students on their individual projects, depending on the level of students being taught.

Experience and knowledge of other Creative Cloud packages such as After Effects, Premier Pro, SketchUp and Muse would be advantageous, but not essential, as there will be opportunity to up skill in various techniques to support this need. The post holder will be expected to support students in other digital areas of fashion to at least a basic level, including but not limited to, specialist software support, filming and/or photography.

The ability to develop and adapt teaching aids, maintain a safe working environment, with current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to the environment, is fundamental to the role.

The post holder must be able to competently assist with the essential maintenance of course equipment and be able to contribute accurately to material requisition as well as be confident in sourcing new suppliers and the best deals to ensure value for money is achieved for the University in line with procurement requirements.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the learning environment is adequately equipped, whilst supporting and supervising a diverse range of learners in using various equipment and software.

Candidates must be able to plan and organise a complex workload within a very busy and constantly changing environment and possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team as required, at times working outside of the course to support learners.

A Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience is required and ideally candidates should possess a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. Experience of working with young adults in a teaching or training environment would also be advantageous.
