We are searching for (and will find!) our own marketing superhero – a super motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and super clever marketer!
We are La Tua Pasta, a small luxury food business with a strong Italian heritage.
Since 2006 our family business has been making the UK’s largest range of fresh handmade pasta for many of the most prestigious chefs and restaurants around the country and abroad. (No exaggeration here – we supply 100+ restaurants) We have won 90+ Great Taste Awards over the years and have expanded from an initial stand at Borough Market to many of London’s Farmers’ Markets and Delicatessen.
In response to the pandemic (and losing most of our clients) we very quickly set up our online business, launched a social media presence and started delivering and shipping fresh pasta and sauces directly to homes across the country (earning us the “Best Lockdown Pasta” award as well as a “Best Business Transformation” industry award). We saved our business and all the jobs – while keeping our team safe (yep – we are very proud of all of that!)
This change has meant developing and launching a new consumer facing brand and creating every design element of a food/ luxury lifestyle brand!
We are still in a period of constant change and growth with new parts of the business being added almost every week. (An alfresco dinning terrace in Bicester Village! An evening restaurant terrace in Borough Market! More market stands! New restaurant clients!) Our pace is fast, we can be a chaotic bunch and everyone chips in to brainstorm, contribute, shape and meet the next challenge! Admittedly – our team is stretched, lean on experience and always working really, really hard. We are always pushing to exceed our clients’ expectations – and our own high standards – when it comes to our pasta – but also how we present our products and our company.
Who we need:
We need someone who is passionate about (aka obsessed with) marketing, design, and social media. (And it helps if you are a foodie!)
You’ve got to prove you’ve got relevant work experience – show us that you know what you’re doing when it comes to developing a marketing strategy (with a really small budget!), growing successful social media accounts, hands on managing of websites, mailchimp, running sales & marketing analytics etc.. We’re a small business – you will be a hands on ‘do-er’. You’ve got to demonstrate strong IT and design skills (we’ve listed the main tech programs below) and be fearless and determined in picking up anything you haven’t been taught before.
We will give you a lot of responsibility, decision making power and the chance to influence the brand and future of a company. You won’t be stuck in a corporate machine – your impact will be huge and the quicker you demonstrate your abilities the more crazy ideas we will let you run with and push on your plate!
We will try to be flexible when it comes to location and schedule – but you’ve got to be able to come into our offices on a very regular basis (please if you live abroad or in a non commuting distance – we cannot accommodate you) – and please note that this is a full time job. (And more!)
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Branding & design – coupled with a ton of enthusiasm and dedication!
- A portfolio (digital or print) that demonstrates a variety of expertise
- Great knowledge of mailchimp et al., wordpress, and back end website management (you do not need to have serious programming skills)
- Print experience
- Experience with Adobe Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Sketch is ideal.
- Ideally previous experience FMCG, Luxury goods or hospitality – marketing and/or design
We are a super diverse team – but if you are gluten-free it can get very tricky 😉
