Our dynamic, growing studio are looking for a junior designer to work full or part time. We are a small team, based in Central London – working on a wide range of projects. Our services include brand creation, product and packaging, communication, web design, exhibition or pop-up design and fit out.
In addition to the skills required of a designer (see below for a breakdown), the successful candidate must contribute energy and ideas and have a ‘yes’ attitude. They must be proficient at working alone or in a team and have excellent time and project management skills. They must have at least one year of industry experience. As a designer, they must be ambitious and excited to explore new territories. They must be able to think intelligently about design and communication – and marry this with creativity and flair.
Aside from the position of designer there is scope to shape the role – the candidate will be expected to advance the studio’s business aspirations – whether through client acquisition which will be financially rewarded, to brand strategy, to contributing to the studio’s social media output, pitching for new work and networking. As such – relevant experience in another organisation will be looked upon favourably. We are especially interested in someone who develops their responsibilities within the studio – with a view to becoming an account manager or similar within a year. The candidate will be mentored by the partners, and be client facing and asked to build and maintain the relationships already in place. The candidate will be supported on the bigger projects and expected to manage the smaller projects alone – with team ideas, brainstorming and feedback sessions.
Established in 2015, the studio has several notable projects and clients in the portfolio with more on the horizon. In the last year, we have launched a carbonated soft drinks brand, branded a chain of pubs, created a kid’s food brand, an events company, a gym, a PR company and many more. Our clients range from start-ups to established businesses; while the focus leans towards the food and drink and lifestyle sectors, we also believe that the broader our range of projects and clients, the broader the challenges – and the better we design.
