We are looking for a Creative Content Designer to join our small, dynamic Communication and External Affairs team, reporting to our Head of Communication and External Affairs and working across the organisation.

Our Creative Content Designer will be our in-house content producer and will enjoy plenty of opportunities to take our brand to the next level. The Creative Content Designer will design and produce digital and print communication materials, including print publications, infographics, videos, and animations.

This new position will help us to tell visual stories about what we do, such as supporting political parties in North Macedonia to be more inclusive of people with disabilities, showing how people in Central Asia are affected by new laws to protect the environment, and helping to fight discrimination against women and girls and LGBT+ people.

The Creative Content Designer will help WFD transition to a more accessible, digital-first approach to communication, pushing back on accepted wisdom and legacy, paper-era processes where appropriate.

We are looking for someone with good all-round experience of designing communication products (evidenced in a portfolio), who wants to contribute their skills and creativity to a non-profit, inclusive international development organisation.

Benefits: This role is eligible for the Civil Service pension scheme option with employer contribution up to 27.1%

By joining the WFD communication and external affairs team, you will become a member of the Government Communication Service (GCS), the professional body for public service communicators working in government departments, agencies and arm’s length bodies. GCS members can take advantage of an extensive range of professional development and learning opportunities.

Contract: an initial one year fixed-term contract until March 2022, with possibility of extension.

Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis therefore this position may close before the closing date 11th February 2021.
