We’re on the lookout for a Digital Designer to join our growing team!

As a Digital Designer at Brand42, you’ll become a fundamental part of our close-knit studio, working collaboratively with the team whilst leading on your own projects.

The Role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Digital Designer with a passion for creativity and is hot on big ideas to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with web design (UI/UX), understand best practices, be knowledgable on design trends and have a hunger to develop their own skills. They will have a keenness to get stuck into projects from the get go, all the way from concept ideation to project rollouts and implementations.

The Digital Designer will work collaboratively with the other designers and directors whilst leading their own projects, and have the confidence to present both concepts and process to internal and external teams. Like all small agencies there is always the day to day tasks that everyone has to get involved in, but we share these round.

This is an ideal role for an individual who wants to become a fundamental part of the studio culture, has an acute eye for detail and who is eager to develop their talent and skillset, and isn’t shy of rolling up their sleeves.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3+ years as a Digital Designer with web design experience.
  • Good knowledge of UI/UX principles for digital design.
  • Understanding of digital design systems, design processes and front-end implementation.
  • A passion for design and conceptual ideas.
  • Confident using Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop (After Effects is a bonus).
  • Strong skills in typography, iconography, composition, colour, layout and experience with mobile-first/responsive web design.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable explaining your thoughts on usability, engagement and user needs, as well as presenting ideas.
  • Understanding of user testing and ability to analyse research to inform design.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, juggling multiple projects.
  • Keep up to date with design trends and eagerness to learn more.

Full-time, hybrid work model, contracted 40 hours per week.
Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6pm
20 days holiday a year, plus bank holidays, rising to 25 over 5 years service.
