The opportunity
As one of our Digital Content Design & Production Executives, you’ll scope, write, edit, and publish high-performing digital content within standard digital templates and content modules, advocating best practices in areas such as layout consistency, content formatting, SEO, accessibility, and analytics.
You’ll uphold our content guidelines, tone of voice and visual flair, to ensure British Heart Foundation (BHF) content is always “on-brand”, accessible and consistent.
This is a key role in ensuring the British Heart Foundation (BHF) puts users at the heart of our digital content delivery; editing and publishing effective content that helps grow and deepen engagement for our diverse audiences across all digital channels.
This role will help us drive a dynamic overhaul of bhf.org.uk and BHF customer journeys, as we upgrade and migrate our effective digital content into new page, email, SMS templates and embrace emerging opportunities such as personalisation.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is driving digital change to deliver more personalised customer journeys and experiences for our supporters and donors. In turn, this will help grow fundraising income and provide health information and support to the 7.6m people living with heart and circulatory conditions in the UK.
The Digital Team is responsible for strategically developing, delivering, and optimising digital experiences for BHF customers.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.  The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
Need more help balancing your work and home life? Talk to us about what flexibility is available at the application or interview stage.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you bring demonstrable experience of writing for the web, with proven ability to create content that is inclusive and accessible, and experience in editing, devising, and implementing creative digital content including text, images, and video for websites.
With excellent communication skills and a commitment to user needs, you have excellent knowledge of user experience, SEO and experience of training and supporting others when delivering high quality digital content.
With excellent attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills, you have a working knowledge of Photoshop, MS Office, project management software, various content management systems and HTML at an editorial level.

About us
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. By funding research across six decades, we’ve helped keep millions of hearts beating and millions of families together. We’re investing in ground-breaking research that will get us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.
We value and respect every individual’s unique contribution, celebrate diversity, and make inclusion part of what we do every day.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, Igniting Change, along with our internal EDI group, Kaleidoscope, and a growing number of employee network groups (our Affinity Groups), help us create an environment where all our colleagues and volunteers can succeed.
