A unique design & make opportunity, developing high end bespoke furniture and interior products, in a state of the art design studio and production facility at the foot of the Chiltern Hills.

You will be part of a fun creative and enthusiastic team, designing, developing, detailing, and prototyping high end products for the domestic and commercial interior markets, working in a wide variety of materials including solid timbers and metals.

Your role will be to help design and build furniture & products in 3D using your computer and software knowledge and skills (see below). You will help to manage the prototyping and production of designs you work on, using our 3D printers and on our 5 axis cnc facilities, working on scale and full size details to final production pieces. Use of 3D printing and cnc software and programming will be central to your role as well as computer modelling.

As well as being a computer whiz, you will be hands on where required, to help with manufacture in our fully equipped joinery and metal workshops. Machinery training will be provided by Zigzag, but experience in a workshop or on site is certainly a bonus. A knowledge of joinery, metalwork, and/or construction using a variety of materials will stand you in good stead! You will also get involved in promotional and marketing work, including adverts, website, brochure, social media, and graphics.

Below are the ideal but not essential skill sets and levels of proficiency that we are looking out for, to give you a guide;

• CAD – Proficiency level – 5-7/10
• 3D modelling – Fusion, Blender, Rhino, or similar. More than one of these software platforms is preferred. Proficiency level 8-10/10!
• Photoshop – Proficiency level 8/10
• 3D printer knowledge – Using machines, and using slicer software Cubra and Simplify –
• Proficiency level 6-8/10 (training will be given in house specific to ZZ machines and software).
• Workshop experience and hand tool experience – Proficiency level 4-8/10
• Positivity & enthusiasm – Proficiency level 10!
