Roar Illustration Agency is looking for a self-motivated, creative person to join the agency as a Part-Time Junior Artist Agent in a freelance capacity, with the potential after 6 months to become a salaried position (if wanted).
This role would be suitable for someone who currently works in a freelance role and is hoping to add some additional income to support their own business practice, and someone who is interested in potentially growing within the role to a more full time position as an Artist Agent here at Roar.
As a Junior Agent, you will be responsible for assisting with the general running of the agency, including management of social media, updating the Roar website artist portfolios, blog, news, and projects.
What will be expected of you?
Develop new relationships within the industry through face-to-face and virtual meetings where you share our roster and recent projects.
Promote our exceptional roster of artists to professional connections – both pre-existing connections of the agency and those within your own network and beyond.
Assist in the development of a strategic marketing strategy for the agency and each represented artist.
Together we will work with you to better understand how we project manage commissions for our artists, which will include negotiation of all contracts and billing, with the idea to have you manage as you feel confident to do so.
Applicant must be interested in the creative industry, and ideally would be someone looking expand their career within an agency and artist management environment.
Whilst this is a creative space, we want to underline here that you will not be undertaking any creative work for the agency, or our clients, and would not be showcasing your work as an illustrator or artist whilst you’re working for the agency as an agent.
Fee: £15 an hour for 7 hours a day.
Days: 2-to-3 days a week for the first 3 months, with the potential to increase hours and days should this work for both sides.
Location: A mixture of remote and in the office is preferred, but we’re open to flexible working hours, and fully remote for the right candidate.
Working hours, dates, and location(s) of where the work can be done are flexible, however, there will be events and tasks that will require you to be on-site or at meetings with clients, so please keep this in mind when applying.
Please note, we have a large American and International client base, which can often mean some projects might run into different working hours – if this is the case, we’re always happy for you to schedule your working day to make sense to the hours you need to work, and any overtime will be paid or given in lieu.
Excellent knowledge of the current creative, cultural, and advertising scene.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confident dealing with clients and creatives alike.

Previous experience working as an Agent, or an Artists’ Representative is desirable, but not required.
Knowledge of Adobe programmes, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word Programmes
Experience working with clients on a face to face basis.
As the position will require you to be on the computer often, we do ask that if you have your own laptop to please mention during your application. If you do not, we will provide you with a laptop to use during your employment with RIA/SVP and must be returned when your employment with the company ends.
