Brand integrity, creative cohesion and cutting-edge visuals are key to our success. We’re looking for a
skilled photographer to fulfil a creative and diverse role within a branded framework. The chosen
candidate will join Make’s award-winning Visual Communications team, working with four graphic
designers and another photographer (currently on maternity leave), as well as the wider
Communications team.
The ideal candidate will have up to three years of relevant experience, be able to create short films as
well as photography, and be ready to hit the ground running. They will report to the Head of Visual
Communications. This role is key to bringing our project portfolio to life from concept to completion,
and will involve working closely with project architects. All photographic equipment will be supplied.
Start date is as soon as possible.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Regularly visiting projects on site to maintain a visual record
- Documenting completed projects, including final use
- Documenting architectural models on behalf of project teams
- Maintaining a photographic record of life in the studio
- Photographing portraits for CVs and studio uses
- Creating short films
- Carrying out any Photoshop and Premiere retouching/editing
- Uploading images to the image library
- Providing technical support for Photoshop and Premiere Pro
Design experience and skills required:
- A content-relevant, up-to-date professional portfolio demonstrating:
- Architectural photography
- Reportage and portrait photography
- Short films
- A keen eye for detail
- Problem-solving skills and a desire to push creative boundaries
- Self-motivated and proactive personality, with a strong work ethic
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple design tasks and
prioritise accordingly - Fluency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro and raw editing programs
Also beneficial:
- Familiarity with the architectural design process
- A keen interest in the urban environment
- An understanding of typography and layout
- Knowledge of After Effects and Open Asset
- Experience working with architects and graphic designers
- Experience working within a collaborative design team

Minimum qualifications:
- BA in Photography, Media Studies or equivalent
