We’re now looking for a Social Media Content Creator / Designer to join our team at McCann Manchester. Armbands optional.
The Part You’ll Play as Social Media Content Creator / Designer…
The Social Media Content Creator will live and breathe social – we’re looking for a creative problem solver with strong communication, organisation and time management skills – these are key in delivering the needs of different clients, as is strong design skills and a keen eye for detail across the output of both static and motion assets. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about digital/social media and be a dedicated team player.
Take direction from senior creatives to bring concepts to life.
Produce designed content (including animations, stills, videos and infographics) for clients’ social media channels using Adobe Creative Cloud programmes (particularly Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, XD and occasionally Indesign).

Format and design static assets.

Edit video content for various audiences – an understanding of video file formats and codecs is essential.

Experience of working with 3D software is desirable, although not essential.

Ensure that all assets are designed in accordance with each client’s brand guidelines and the social channel specifications

Ensuring that all collateral and assets are delivered on time and are processed through the appropriate quality controls and approval processes.

Time management is a critical element in the effectiveness of this role due to the reactive nature of social media.

Following and maintaining filing processes – uploading artwork and assets onto servers daily.

A keen interest in emerging technology and trends within digital and social media.
As Social Media Content Creator / Designer You’ll Bring…
A strong pedigree of impactful work, know what people love on social and know how to tap into popular cultural trends. These ideas will inspire, make people smile and be shared nationally or globally across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
You should be able to demonstrate:

Strong creative experience with a focus in digital and social media creative

Excellent core skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Adept in motion graphics and bringing campaigns to life using After Effects
-
A passion and understanding of social and the social platforms.

An expert knowledge of what works on different social channels.

Experience of collaboration with a wider integrated team.

A portfolio of similar social creative work to be able to demonstrate your experience and knowledge.

Experience working with or for high profile consumer brands – retail experience would be particularly advantageous.
