Creative Lab is TikTok’s own ideas and inspiration place. A full-service agency based in London with hubs in Paris, Germany, Madrid and Milan, Creative Lab helps brands and agencies make best in class work on TikTok. The sole mission for our team of planners, creatives, producers, designers, editors and project managers is to make work that showcases new products and services, creates a halo effect around TikTok culture and make brands famous on the channel.
We are looking for:
An agile Video Editor/ Motion Designer to embed Creative Lab’s principles for best practice in campaigns for a whitelist of leading UK, European and global brands. Creating innovative and high quality motion design and visual effects, spanning animation and editing on TikTok, you’ll partner with strategists, creatives and producers to bring out the best of TikTok’s formats, creators and culture for a hand-picked list of leader brands.
The ideal candidate is an industry established creative thinker, proficient in a broad range of programmes with strong motion design and editing skills, and ideally an understanding of 3D softwares. You’ll be able to distill key decisions and discussions and translate them into compelling visual messages and demonstrate a passion for the audience experience, as well as knowledge of how to leverage design to achieve communication goals. And you’ll have social media running through your veins. This is a unique opportunity to define the way brands show up in the world’s fastest growing digital channel as we build the Creative Lab team from scratch. From sizzle reels to case studies through to content pieces, screen design and AR application – you’ll live and breath moving image and have a desire to define how this shows up on TikTok.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with creatives, creators, and business partners, to bring stories and concepts to life.
  • Conceptualise, create storyboards and design using different styles and approaches for deliverables as needed.
  • A bonus would be a portfolio featuring immersive technology (AR, VR, XR, Web AR, interactive designs or real time graphics) to help enable new capabilities for TikTok’s AR Effect platforms by exploring new technologies and transforming them into conceptual prototypes and game mechanisms for AR effects, marketing tools, sales products and beyond.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working at senior level withing a studio environment.
  • Desire to move towards managing a team of motion designers and editors, aiming to set out new ground for what moving image looks like on TikTok.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Video Editor/Motion Designer, and 3D VFX Designer.
  • Experience with industry standard design tools – Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, After Effects & Premier Pro and Illustrator)
  • Ability to create your own animated 3D assets (Cinema4D, Blender, Maya, 3DS Max)
  • An impressive portfolio with work across various mediums – motion design, 3D, illustration, typography and emerging technology
  • Excellent hands-on practical skills to execute design work to a high degree autonomously.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
