✌️ About the role

We are seeking culture creators and inquisitive thinkers with a wealth of experience. We’ve done well so far, but we need someone even better to lead the next phase of growth.

• 6+ years of Product Design or UX experience across web and mobile platforms
• Experience leading a product/UX design team at a digital consumer company
• A link to an inspiring portfolio demonstrating care and passion for your craft
• Good communication and management skills
• Track record of managing UX of complex products
• Fluent English
• Timezone: EST +/- 2 hours

🦾 What you’ll do

• Build bridges between the design team and product, engineering and marketing teams to find consistent elegant but practical solutions
• Be an equal participant in the rethinking of the product strategy and platform
• Mentor product designers and take care of their growth
• Build and integrate strong UX expertise for product development
• Lead the scaling of the entire design system and UX of the platform
• Recruit new talent and scale the design team

❌ What this role is not

• Managers without recent design background — you will need to deeply understand design processes and earn respect of the current design team.
• Communication designers without Product Design experience — Product Marketing is an important part of our platform, but not the only one.
• “All of my work is delegated” — you’ll need to roll up your sleeves now and then.

Built by a diverse team with deep expertise in private investing

Republic was founded by alumni from AngelList, the largest online platform for private investing. Grown from 3 to 250, it has attracted a number of industry-renowned experts as well as trailblazer startup talent, necessary to explore and develop the new market. The Product design team in the US is flat and consists of 3 product designers (more on way!), each collaborating with several PMs on various projects.
