The National Deaf Children’s Society is looking for a creative and energetic Senior Graphic Designer to lead the delivery of our designed marketing, information and fundraising materials – building our profile with impact.

Do you have the design expertise to create impact for a national charity?

You’ll be responsible for conceptualising and visualising the brand and be adept with Creative Studio, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. You will love typography and layout and know what makes a great photograph. With a keen eye for detail, you will engage with our content to produce impactful visual communications that carry our mission to deaf young people, and a range of related audiences.

As a brand guardian you’ll bring to life and help protect and evolve our visual identity by guiding colleagues in digital, marketing, fundraising and editorial roles.

We’re looking for someone who has significant experience of designing for digital and print channels, is great at building relationships and has experience of working with freelancers and external designers.

This role helps create design tools and templates for other teams. You will have the opportunity to share your skills and insights, guiding and mentoring less experienced designers and content creators.

This is a great opportunity to put your design and creative skills to work and help deliver our vision of a world without barriers for every deaf child.

To apply for this role, you will have to complete an online application and specify how you meet the person specification criteria, as outlined in the job description. To do this, we suggest that you download the job description from our website prior to starting your application.

Currently, the application process works best on desktop / laptop devices.

The closing date for applications is on Wednesday,25 May 2022 at 23:59.

We expect interviews to be held on or around 1 June 2022.

The National Deaf Children’s Society is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults and expects staff and volunteers to share that commitment.

We strive to provide an accessible recruitment process. If a disability or long-term condition makes it difficult for you to complete our application form, please contact us to discuss alternative formats. If you require reasonable adjustments for taking part in the interview, please indicate this in response to the corresponding question in the application form.

We are a Disability Confident Employer and committed to offering interviews to candidates who request to be considered under the disability confident scheme and meet the minimum requirements of the person specification.
