Our Bamford family is growing, and we are looking for a talented and passionate Creative Designer to join our team in South Kensington, London.

Full time contract, based on 40 hours per week, up to £40,000 per annum plus benefits.

The Creative Designer will be responsible for developing product packaging solutions and creating in-store and digital assets for use across multiple Bamford channels. Supporting the Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Digital teams to deliver retail campaigns, event collateral, bespoke customer journeys and experience projects through to final execution.

Following the guidelines as provided by the Creative Director & Lead Creative, the Creative Designer role will interpret these across each touch point of the brand in conjunction with the Product Development, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Digital and Wholesale teams. We are looking for an in-depth passion for product packaging and visual communications, as well as a sharp design eye to produce and amend both print and digital formats. You will be adept in collating feedback from multiple stakeholders to oversee final produced assets, liaising with printers to ensure materials continue to evolve sustainable practices.


  • Following creative direction, develop emotionally engaging, consistent visual storytelling throughout our customer’s
    journey, from the moment they first hear or see our brand and products.
  • Create covetable designs which represent the Bamford brand values.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities regarding print specifications and packaging construction.
  • Ability to ensure accurate artwork is produced. Experience with print proofs and creating artwork is essential.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver print-ready artwork, develop samples and check for quality and consistency.
  • Design and coordinate the install of new campaign signage and messaging with internal and external teams. We have several product launches a year.
  • Understand and embed best practice principles and ensure outputs meet the expected quality, brand standards and optimisation of the customer journey
  • Ability to work to deadlines and produce considered work across all mediums (Product, Press, Print, Visual Merchandising, Signage, Mobile, Web).
  • Creating bespoke content for Social and Web.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar required.
  • You will be expected to travel to the farm shop in the Cotswolds a few times a month.


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Designer.
  • Professional design experience, including fashion or lifestyle retail.
  • Experience in storytelling for customers in a retail or public space.
  • Able to lead packaging designs from concept through to artwork.
  • Experience in managing a budget, or with sourcing and managing costs.
  • Excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • Experience using video editing software such as After Effects or Premiere Pro, desirable but not essential.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your eye for detail across multiple platforms (physical, mobile, web).
  • Excellent organisational skills: able to prioritise a large workload according to ever changing business needs.
  • A passion for design and a creative flair.
  • Understanding of Bamford’s visual language and a passion for the brand.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects running alongside each other.
  • A collaborative approach and meticulous level of detail in all endeavours.
