We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our fantastic small team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of some of the UK’s most ambitious brands.

As a multi-disciplined creative, your primary role is to act as the design lead, working with our Creative Director, Sophie Karaer and our small studio team of designers and account management to deliver beautifully crafted, conceptual thinking that communicates our clients’ brand strategy.

We’re looking for someone with a strong creative point of view, who enjoys solving creative challenges. You’ll love the tasks of taking brand systems to the next level or creating entirely new ones for maximum impact. You will have a keen enthusiasm and experience in designing websites using Adobe XD, and working alongside website developers, with user experience and brand impact always front of mind.

You’ll be bold enough to make strong design decisions, driving the work from conception to delivery. You’ll also be confident when presenting ideas and creative work and humble enough to embrace both internal and external feedback.

As a small but passionate team, we’ll also encourage you to be involved in guiding the design direction on creative projects in the studio, while contributing and sharing knowledge and experience to the development and growth of the creative team.

We have over 80 five-star reviews on Google from our clients, we deliver great work and customer experience, and you will be joining a team who are passionate about maintaining that great reputation.

Our Creative Director will be taking some maternity leave from August 2022. She will still play an active role in the business during this time, holding regular catch-ups with both the Design Team and our clients. Understandably, there may be some time at the beginning of her leave where, with the support of the extended Design Team, you will be expected to make informed design-based decisions without her input.

What you’ll need:

Have extensive experience – you should have at least 6 years of experience in the graphic design industry. You should have a deep understanding of branding and identity design and extensive experience crafting, developing and delivering brands across multiple brand touchpoints including fully responsive websites. You should also have experience of being the lead designer on brand projects.

Be conceptual – you generate original ideas favouring solutions that are concept-led and fitting to a client brief. You are interested in the underlying principles of an idea and comfortable explaining its rationale. You should develop concepts that focus on the core ideas that drive a brand and help to articulate those ideas in a visually unique manner across both digital and print media.

Create impact – you are persuasive and articulate. You clearly express your point of view and support others in developing and articulating theirs. You should be confident when challenging your team and adept at spotting gaps in thinking that can result in weak conceptual foundations.

Take the lead – You will ideally have some experience in leading a small team of graphic designers, and offering your direction to those in a less senior position to yourself.

Take responsibility – You meet the deadline and are focused on ensuring the task at hand is fully completed. You champion your craft and are meticulous about the detail. You are organised and have a good time management capabilities.

Package:

This role comes with an attractive £37k annual salary and the freedom to work from home or at whichever location you prefer. You will receive a company iMac with Adobe CS & Microsoft Office. We offer a generous holidays package which includes additional holidays over Christmas and New Year. We promise as a team to never work beyond the hours of 9.00 am and 5.30 pm and we’re open to candidates that would prefer a 4 day working week. We know the stress long hours can bring to designers, and we put the positive mental health of our team very high up on our company values.

Location:

Work from home (remote).
