Following the appointment of Vice-Chancellor & President, Professor Amanda Broderick, the University has committed to a mission to advance Industry 4.0 careers and lives, where we expand mental wealth, create careers, build business and connect communities in East London and beyond through our global gateway. A transformational strategic route-map that was launched in 2019 plots our course to becoming the pioneering careers-led university for a changing world, where the future of learning and work is advanced today and potential is realised wherever and whenever it is found.

We are seeking a creative and inquisitive digital first designer with excellent typographic and layout skills to join our design team. You must have a keen interest in current and future design trends and significant experience working as a junior or middleweight designer.

You will be working on the development and continuous evolution of the University’s in house brands including activities such as brand creation and development, magazine design and production, events and exhibitions design, design for print, website, email layouts & digital marketing and advertising activities. You will develop exciting ideas and create stunning pieces of design using industry standard software. As this is a digital first role, experience of designing and publishing digitally is essential.

You will be reporting to and taking guidance from the Head of Design, however on many instances you will be tasked with running your own projects from start to finish and therefore must be a professionally driven and forward-thinking individual that possesses the ability to take a brief all the way from concept through to delivery whilst maintaining the client’s expectations and working to deadlines.

Candidates are required to submit a portfolio of their design work (PDF or URL link) with their application, a full portfolio will be required for shortlisted candidates.
