THE ROLE: DIGITAL DESIGNER & ANIMATOR

A designer & animator who has an infectious energy and passion for what they do. The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled – part designer, part animator, part editor. They will be as strong on design as they are on motion – boasting beautiful, engaging and relevant work in their own portfolio.

They will be designing and animating for digital, ATL, and social briefs, from concept to through to production and delivery, for multi-channel campaigns and global toolkits across all clients.

They’ll be an imaginative all-rounder who’s eager to make an impact. The successful candidate has a real opportunity to own everything that moves – interaction design, thumb-stopping content, engaging edits, and slick animated prototypes for digital media.

We are looking for an individual with a solution-focused attitude and drive to get things done. The ideal candidate is an adept problem-solver who can help advise on all things motion – both technically and creatively, whilst conceptualizing innovative ideas and elevating everything that moves.

The candidate should be highly collaborative as well as comfortable working in a fast-paced
environment. They will report directly to the Digital Design Director and will work closely with all of our wonderfully talented creative and design department.

RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Designer – 50%

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CC – in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
  • Sketch experience would be a huge bonus too, but not essential.
  • An impeccable eye for design, composition, and typography, and obsession for visual excellence and craft.
  • Ability to create, amend and update design files for motion – including storyboards for social tool kits and graphics / VFX for edits.
  • A driven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Animator – 50%

  • Strong creative ability in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Have technical know-how and creative flair in the motion space.
  • Create animations from scratch, work from guidelines and roll out work across a suite of digital formats from DOOH, film VFX, to display banners.
  • Be passionate about motion design and know all the latest trends and innovations and be implementing them in your work.
  • You’ll always be thinking about how an audience will process the information in front of them, but how they interact with it too and how you can encourage engagement.
  • You understand digital advertising principles, advertising communication best practices, and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Capable of taking assets and executing them in social-first, show-stopping ways, with a keen eye for detail and intrigue.
  • Sourcing assets and content to deliver a compelling piece of motion.
  • Edit ability a bonus

MANDATORIES

  • A broad creative portfolio that demonstrates a hybrid skillset of their own design and animation work across multiple digital channels.
  • Around 4 years experience, working within a creative agency or in-house department.
