ROLE EXPECTATIONS
To work alongside the creative team on large-medium branding & packaging projects as well as manage their own small branding & packaging projects, reporting into one of the Creative Directors. Expected to be very clear on the creative process for packaging, whilst demonstrating good creative 360 thinking supported by strong graphic design skills, a knowledge of structure and printing techniques. A willingness to input and learn more about creative brand strategy and develop skillset. We want individuals that will grow and develop with our agency.

ROLE CHARACTERISTICS:

  • A passion to solve branding & packaging problems with a creative idea that engages and connects with consumers – to drive return on investment for clients
  • Support and work with your Creative Directors to make sure we maintain the highest level of creativity and craftsmanship
  • A diligent and responsible attitude, with strong attention to detail
  • A competent and articulate presenter with an ability to develop clear presentations
  • A can-do attitude where no job is too big or too small for anyone

MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years branding & packaging design experience in a branding agency
  • Strong creative idea generation and visualisation skills
  • Keen to learn and have can-do approach
  • Competent use of Adobe suite – Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • FMCG experience

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
CREATIVE RESPONSE:

  • Create designs based on an idea linked to the brand strategy
  • Think of brand with a 360 approach (design, packaging structure, touch points)
  • Have a point of view and a voice in internal and client meetings
  • Immerse in the design world around you and share interesting and relevant news

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MASTERY

  • Competent in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Deliver ‘wow’ in time with creative experience
  • Demonstrate preparing and organising presentations of creative work with storytelling and strategic thinking

COMMUNICATION

  • Be a calm and confident presenter at internal meetings & provide a solid strategic rationale
  • Listen and understand your team, providing a clear understanding of direction & feedback
  • Listen and respond positively to feedback
  • Respond to emails and messages in timely manner
  • Articulate and promote the Kinship philosophy

PROBLEM SOLVING (PRO ACTIVE)

  • Deliver on client requests but push the brief to build something special
  • Bring energy to every brief as if it’s the first time you have seen it
  • Be able to discuss brief objectives if they do not seem quite right
  • Ability to see beyond the brief for new opportunities to develop the brand
  • Deliver solutions that can be produced

PRIORITISATION & ORGANISATION

  • Manage projects within time allocated
  • Fluent understanding of ways of working, creative and production
  • Have an excellent relationship with client service, strategy and production
  • Champion best practise file management

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Technical competence and understanding of print production techniques
  • Luxury brand experience
  • Language skills welcome
