About LEON:

 

LEON is 16 years young, having been founded by two friends John Vincent and Henry Dimbleby in 2004 on the belief that fast food can be good food. LEON now has over 75 restaurants across the UK and abroad, including Washington D.C., Oslo, Amsterdam, Dublin and Basel. We also have our own cookware range in partnership with John Lewis, a grocery range at Sainsbury’s, and have published over a dozen cookbooks. Everything we do is in pursuit of our mission. We want to save the planet, and the human, through food. By making food that tastes good, does you good, makes you feel good after you eat it, is affordable and kind to the planet.

Design is fundamental to everything we do. We are inspired by the flavours and timeless beauty of the Mediterranean and look to the natural world wherever we can. However, as a fast food brand we are always looking at ways to evolve what we dohow we do it and how we look to ensure we are ahead. We do not have one logo or corporate brand colours: our design moves to fit the context.

Summary:

You are a creative, a designer and a collaborator. Based in London, you will be the main designer for our US restaurants. This includes, menus, photography, POS, events, in-house materials, restaurant design and digital assets. You will also support our UK designers, becoming a key part of the Brand & Marketing team.

What you’ll do:  

Be the main designer for LEON US Design menu boards and supporting materials that communicate the core brand proposition o Work alongside our Restaurant Designer and architects to develop LEON’s signage and interiors – Support our UK design team to Help with collateral for other international openings o Create new digital assets

You:

A graphic designer with 1-2 years’ experience, you are excited for a new challenge. You are competent in Adobe CS; particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. AfterEffects not essential but a big bonus. You’re naturally creative, bubbling at the brim with ideas, and have a sharp eye for detail. You are happy to travel to Washington a few times a year to immerse yourself in the brand, and keep up with the US team regularly. Digital, packaging and print design experience is a benefit but not an essential and we will recruit for personality, attitude and potential over and above experience to date.
