With an exciting product roadmap ahead, we are seeking new team members to contribute to our growth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, has experience in fast-paced startup environments or busy design agencies, and is eager to expand their experience and skills.

The VIDEO EDITOR position is ideal for a versatile junior to mid-weight video editor with a strong design focus and a passion for filmmaking. You will create style frames involving basic animations, edit videos for social media and website content, and occasionally participate in on-set filming activities.

What you’ll do:

• Create engaging video edits using new and existing footage for social media posts, ads, and content for our retail partners.
• Interpret briefs to deliver captivating motion assets for use across various channels, including social media, ads, banners, emails, website, and in-store displays.
• Adapt edits to specific specifications for different platforms and territories.
• Deliver emotive motion graphics to bring our product range to life.
• Develop and create style frames and design assets.
• Collaborate with a vibrant design team.
• Maintain a highly organized filing system of content, assets, and projects, both locally and backed up to the cloud.
• Occasionally assist with in-house productions

Requirements:

• 3 to 4 years of experience, preferably in an agency environment or fast-paced startup.
• Excellent knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a good understanding of Davinci Resolve.
• Strong musicality to edit videos to complement the given track and select techniques that enhance the music.
• Proficient in Photoshop and the creative cloud suite.
• Outstanding design skills with a keen eye for typography, composition, and colour grading.
• Effective communication skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Eager to learn and develop content creation skills.
• Exceptional understanding of deliverables, including frame rates, aspect ratios, codecs, bitrates, subtitles, audio, colour spaces, and safe zones.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and exceptional implementation of animation principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
• Exceptional written skills.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive with exceptional initiative and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of designing for various social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
• Good understanding of using video cameras and audio equipment.
