Independently owned creative agency are seeking a publications designer to join their publications team.
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes editorial design to join this growing team. You will be passionate about all aspects of print, publishing and design in general bringing flair and a keen eye for detail to a range of projects which could include programmes, manuals, brochures, books and reports.
This role would suit an experienced designer confident in taking projects from conception and development through artworking to print. You will be confident talking to clients and dealing directly with printers delivering high quality publications which catch the eye. Excellent attention to detail and typesetting skills are hugely important.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 3+ years commercial experience working across print publications/layout and editorial projects
- Fully capable in Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
- Good conceptual thinking, plenty of ideas and high level of craft
- A keen eye for typography, a love of magazine and editorial design
- Meticulous attention to detail, thorough art-working skills and impeccable housekeeping are all a must
- Interest and experience in digital publishing is beneficial
- Good verbal and written communication skills
