JOB ADDED

We are looking for a mid-weight designer who can demonstrate a balance between design flair and reliable project delivery. The central Goldsmiths design team’s work ranges from small commissions such as social media assets through to complete marketing campaigns. This role looks after much of the day-to-day design work.

What you will do

As a member of the design team, your work will include managing design projects independently, liaising with commissioners on creative concepts and, in collaborating with them, delivering assets for their communications requirements. In collaboration with the designers in the design team, you will also participate in creative research and ideas-generation for major campaigns, and help deliver print-ready artwork and digital assets for all channels.

You will work closely with teams and colleagues across the College community to support their marketing and business development goals, our core business of learning, teaching and research, and the civic work that Goldsmiths does as an anchor institution.

We are currently operating hybrid working. You will be in the office at least two days a week, one of which is a ‘core’ day when the whole team is in. This role is not being offered as remote working only.

Where the role sits

This role sits within the Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) Directorate. We are the central team responsible for communicating what Goldsmiths does internally and to the rest of the world, as well as ensuring potential students are impressed with our academic offer.

What the successful candidate needs

As a designer with experience of working within brand guidelines, you will bring a wealth of creative ideas to ensure our communications punch through. You’ll be expert in Adobe Creative Suite and as much at home creating documents and original artwork.

You’ll be able to work at a fast pace with a project delivery focus, while ensuring quality.

You’ll also be a skilled at managing stakeholders with competing needs, helping them with their requirements and diplomatically managing expectations.
