CONTEXT

Creo initiates and organises events and programming across three key strands: photography, film and contemporary art. Established in 2007 as World Photography Organisation, Creo has since grown in scope, furthering its mission of developing meaningful opportunities for creatives and expanding the reach of its cultural activities. Today, its flagship projects include the Sony World Photography Awards, PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, Photo London, and the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards.

This is an exciting, hands-on, and fast-paced role where you will be supported by the Marketing Director and wider team and have the opportunity to work proactively, with plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skill set. We want you to bring your creativity to this role and have fun testing new approaches across various projects and platforms. This is an ideal opportunity for someone motivated to build and develop their career in graphic design and video editing, and form part of our ambitious growth plans and overall marketing strategy.

The successful candidate will also provide support to the production department by performing other online and offline design tasks, based on project requirements. These include delivering material for awards ceremonies, exhibitions, and art fairs.

OVERVIEW

  • The job holder will work with the Marketing and Production Director to deliver materials and campaigns across Creo’s portfolio.
  • Responsible for all digital and print graphic design elements across all Creo projects and events.
  • Provide creative and visual concepts that are in line with the group’s brand and digital campaigns.
  • Creation of graphic design elements to be used in video production
  • Exhibition design and branding briefs
  • Research and provide options to create sustainable ways to produce end products.

DESIGN

  • Respond to design briefs set by the Marketing, Production and PR teams
  • Ability to work to brand guidelines with the marketing director and team, to support and develop strong visual strategies for the company’s programmes, to create customer engagement, and grow brand awareness.
  • Create and complete the design for the annual Sony World Photography Awards book.
  • Print: Way-finding, signage, vinyl, captions, tickets, invitations, posters, brochures, booklets, tube campaigns, billboards, exhibition maps, catalogues, certificates, magazine adverts, stationery
  • Digital: Advertising banners, web banners, social media campaigns, information decks / annual reports, email campaigns, newsletters. Assist with design elements to be used on landing pages and core pages of group websites, and feed into the overall page designs.
  • Create Look & feel decks including mockups to present designs to the team for review and feedback

VIDEO

  • Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
  • Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and using voice-overs
  • Input graphics element to enhance footage
  • Improve and correct lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
  • Follow a script, brief, or screenplay.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to complete projects.
  • Ensure design work is aligned with other methods of communication across the group.
  • Support with ad-hoc design requests and across other marketing areas as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Creative flair and eye for aesthetics
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programmes including Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and either After effects / Premier Pro or equivalent video editing software.
  • Strong and varied portfolio demonstrating a proven track record of graphic design and video editing experience (2 years minimum)
  • Strong typography skills
  • Good design knowledge and a key in interest with keeping up to date with design trends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure across multiple projects running alongside each other
  • Understanding the different requirements for web and print design
  • Excellent organisational skills: able to prioritise a large workload according to the different events and projects and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and meticulous level of detail in all endeavours

SUCCESS MEASURES

  • Deliver strong visual campaign and concepts on time, aligned with our brand guidelines
  • Provide successful material to support our portfolio of events
  • Able to lead visual campaigns from concept through to artwork

PRACTICALITIES

  • This is a full-time role based in the company’s London office – 9 Manchester Square, London, W1U 3PL
  • We operate a hybrid model with Tue – Thu based in the office and Mon & Fri WFH.
  • You will report directly to Faustine Pages, Marketing Director, Creo
  • Out-of-hours work at events and travel may be required
