We’re looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to help us design for a diverse range of ambitious brands.
Full Time – Hybrid – Brighton/London
(Open to Juniors & Mid-Weights – someone looking to step up or apply their skills elsewhere)

We are Eleven. A creative first, design lead e-commerce agency delivering results for direct to consumer brands.

About the role

As a UX/UI designer, your role will be varied and exciting, working across a wide range of projects and briefs, designing the best-in-class e-commerce websites on Shopify. With support from the agency’s creative director, you’ll work across all areas of design such as D2C, e-commerce and brand-led websites, landing pages, digital brand assets, and everything in between.

You will understand the importance of brand and how to communicate correctly across digital channels. Disrupting categories, defining positions and delivering creative first excellence for each and every client.

You’ll have excellent research and problem-solving skills. You’ll also have experience creating compelling customer journeys that help clients deliver relevant and engaging customer experiences that maximise conversions and drive sales. Most importantly, you’ll ability to articulate and justify your design decisions.

You are a team player who can adapt to change and manage your time effectively, meeting deadlines, delivering to the highest standards. You’ll be engaged in all aspects of working within a small team; from client communications to creative concept sessions to owning projects and running with them.

Above all you’ll have the drive and ‘can do’ attitude.

Experience within Shopify e-commerce is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Create e-commerce designs with a mobile-first approach while always harnessing the power of brand and technology.
  • Working as part of the creative team, supporting the team on a variety of exciting briefs and projects.
  • Managing multiple projects and communicating progress accurately to your team and clients.
  • Helping to bridge brand experience and UX best practices.
  • Wireframe and design working prototypes to define interactions and animations
  • Participate in team and client workshop sessions
  • Own projects from conception through to delivery ensuring consistency and quality of design output
  • The ability to work on both UX / UI, and be able to lead UX design where required
  • Gain client and stakeholder buy-in to your ideas through effective presentation and engagement
  • Work with Developers to ensure effectiveness and feasibility of your designs while staying conscious of budget constraints while delivering best-in-class e-commerce design
  • Document intended functionality, behaviours and interactions to produce technical specification documents

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 2.5 years’ experience UX/UI design is essential.
  • An understanding of design processes and how to apply them to e-commerce projects, with a mobile first approach.
  • Able to articulate ideas and solutions effectively to the team.
  • Knowledge of wireframe and design tools (XD/Figma is a must).
  • A deep understanding and working knowledge of UX design and the Adobe Creative Suite – specifically XD, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • Confident managing clients and other stakeholders.
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial. Quick learner, ability to think on your feet, always open-minded and curious, and eager to learn new skills.
  • You’ll have a growing interest in e-commerce and can apply your trade to adapt to a range of different clients and industries across many D2C categories.
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to manage deadlines, your workload and the expectations of clients, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Curious individual with a passion for learning and a good sense of humour.
  • Love to show off your work & take on feedback simultaneously
